Who’s your Daddy? Melanie Brown (Scary Spice from Brit Girl Band Spice Girls) gave birth to a baby girl at 12:11 am this morning (April 3rd) at a Santa Monica hospital. “Baby Brown” weighed in at 5 lbs, 6 oz and is 18 inches long. Mother and yet-to-be-named daughter are doing well. Paternity of the newborn has garnered much controversy in recent months: Melanie claims that former boyfriend Eddie Murphy is the father, which Eddie Murphy has categorically denied. Blood tests will be done shortly to resolve the issue once and for all.

Adding to the Uber-Brood: Fueled by comments made by Angelina Jolie in a recent interview to the effect that she is looking to “balance the races [in the family] so that there‘s another African person in the house for Zahara,” the word on the web is that Jolie is set to adopt another child, a girl from Chad. Jolie hopes that they will welcome the newest addition to the family by the summer.

Sitcom Son Gone Wrong: Brian Bonsall, who played Andy Keaton on the 80s sitcom Family Ties is all grown up: he plays in a punk band, he’s got his very own MySpace page and he was arrested in Colorado last week on suspicion of domestic violence after allegedly roughing up his live-in girlfriend. Brian faces possible counts of felony second-degree assault and misdemeanor false imprisonment. For those keeping score, this is Bonsall’s fifth domestic violence incident (he was not arrested for the first four), his second arrest (the first one was for drunk driving), not to mention charges for failing to appear in court to answer underage drinking charges.

Celebrity Son Gone Really, Really Wrong: Guitar legend, rock icon and celebrated druggie Keith Richards (Rolling Stones’ guitarist) tells British music magazine NME that he once snorted his dad’s ashes. Says Richards: “The strangest thing I’ve tried to snort? My father…He was cremated and I couldn’t resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow…It went down pretty well, and I’m still alive.”
